Wireless public address speaker systems

Public address speakers built for buildings are a different product from the powered speaker boxes a band hauls to a gig. Facility PA speakers mount on the wall, receive audio signals from a central source, and deliver clear speech paging, tones, and emergency notifications across classrooms, corridors, and production floors, day after day, with no audio engineer mixing sound and no setup before every announcement. That is the product on this page.

Innovation Wireless has built synchronized time and communication systems since 2008, on our team’s 30+ years of combined industry experience. Our SMART series technology powers the Wi-Fi and PoE models, and our wireless PA speakers carry announcements over an FCC-approved UHF radio signal, so tell us about your building, and a system specialist will fit the sound coverage to it.

What Our PA Speakers Do

Innovation Wireless PA speakers deliver voice and tone announcements throughout a building with no speaker wiring. Each unit needs only standard 110 volt wall current; the audio arrives wirelessly from the Public Address Transmitter on an FCC-approved UHF signal, or over your Ethernet network on PoE models. Two models cover every room: the standard 30 watt model (5″ woofer, sound level 90 dB at 1 meter) for classrooms and conference rooms, and the high-power 50 watt model (6″ woofer, 95 dB at 1 meter) for gymnasiums, production floors, and other loud spaces. Speakers group into zones, sound scheduled tones and pre-recorded messages, and serve K-12 districts, plants, and commercial environments nationwide.

Wireless PA Speakers, Zoned Without a Single Wire

Our wireless speaker system has three components: the transmitter, the speakers, and the software. The Public Address Transmitter broadcasts live announcements, a variety of stock tones, or pre-recorded messages to one unit, a group, or the whole speaker system over an approved FCC UHF wireless radio signal, with no audio cabling anywhere in the walls and no input channels to patch.

That means you page an individual room, a wing, or the entire building from one place, from a desktop computer or smartphone device on the software, not a front-of-house console. Place a unit anywhere within the broadcast area, and as your building goes through additions, changes, and renovations, the sound coverage moves with it where hard-wired public address equipment stays inflexible and re-pulling lines gets prohibitively expensive, a wireless unit simply remounts where you need it next.

Standard 30 Watt or High-Power 50 Watt

Both models share the same standard features and construction: an ABS frame with powder-coated iron mesh in white, a strong swivel mounting bracket that positions horizontally or vertically with finger-tightened rotary clips, 8 ohm impedance, 100 Hz – 20 kHz frequency response, and operation from 14ºF to 130ºF at 0–95% non-condensing humidity. Both run on standard 120 VAC (220-240 VAC supported). Selectable volume is set manually or through software control, the ability to tune each room’s sound without touching an amplifier rack.

Speakers for Every Connection: Wireless, IP-PoE, and Wi-Fi

The wireless UHF speakers on this page are one of three families we build, so the connection method fits your infrastructure instead of forcing new cabling, commercial wireless speaker systems for buildings that want zero network dependence, and networked models for buildings that already run audio over Ethernet.

IP and PoE Speakers

Our SMART Power over Ethernet technology delivers a networked speaker system that takes both audio and power from a single Ethernet cable. The IP speaker choice for organizations that run announcements over the network, including voip speaker integration on modern phone platforms and multiple audio sources feeding one system. Standard and high-powered models handle day-to-day paging and emergency communications alike; see the full PoE Speaker System for the networked platform and its features.

Wi-Fi Speakers

The Wi-Fi SMART models join the 2.4 GHz network your building already runs, with a server module as the brains of the system and software that lets staff page from a smartphone or desktop. They power the Wi-Fi Speaker Systems platform built for schools.

Horn and Outdoor Speakers

For loading docks, yards, and outdoor applications, an outdoor horn speaker projects speech over large open areas, indoor and outdoor applications covered by one platform. See the Outdoor Horn Speaker spec sheet in Resources, alongside the AMP receiver and server module documentation.

Zones, Tones, and Schedules

Grouping units into zones is a powerful tool for any organization, from a K-12 district to a manufacturing plant. Broadcast to one area without disturbing the rest of the building: page a separate wing of a plant to run shift and break changes, or create zones by grade level in a school and sound a class-change tone only to the upper grades. Any announcement or event can target exactly the audience that needs to hear it.

The software is simple and intuitive. Play pre-recorded messages, tones, or background music over the loudspeaker system at scheduled times; load multiple weekly schedules, monitor them from one screen, and activate them on the days they apply. One schedule for Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, a different schedule for Tuesday and Thursday and modify any of it in minutes as the day changes. The same system that pages can run background music between classes or across a lobby, from stored audio sources or other sound sources, with no streaming setup to babysit.

No Amp Rack. No Speaker Wire. No 70V Lines.

Walk through what the traditional route requires: a power amplifier or mixer amplifier in a rack, 70V transformer lines pulled to every location, input sources patched through a mixer, and an installer’s labor for all of it. Our wireless PA speakers remove that entire layer. Each unit is self-contained, plug it into standard wall current, and the announcement audio arrives over the air. There is no power amplifier rack to buy, no speaker wire to pull, no conduit to trench, and no Bluetooth pairing or streaming hardware to maintain: this is installed communication infrastructure, not portable PA gear.

That matters beyond the install. Workplace alarm rules like OSHA’s employee alarm standard expect signals to be perceptible above ambient noise throughout the workplace. The sound coverage a single unit at the office door cannot deliver in a large or noisy building. Because our units place anywhere with an outlet, you add coverage exactly where speech intelligibility needs it, projecting sound into every corner without an electrician re-pulling lines.

Trusted in Schools, Plants, and Commercial Buildings Nationwide

K-12 schools across the United States use our PA speakers, bell scheduler, and clocks to run the school day. Thousands of districts and organizations nationwide rely on Innovation Wireless equipment, and when you review our customer list you see some of the most recognized names in the country, across education, healthcare, manufacturing, business, government, and military facilities like West Point. From a single classroom announcement speaker to complete coverage of a plant, the same speaker system scales with the building, amplifying sound only where you aim it.

For system-level projects, bell schedules, clocks, and paging engineered together as one public address system. See our wireless PA system page, and pair the speakers with the Public Address Transmitter that drives them.

PA Speaker Questions, Answered

What are public address speakers?

Public address speakers are wall-mounted loudspeakers that deliver announcements, tones, and speech throughout a building from a central source. Unlike consumer speakers, a public address loudspeaker is engineered for voice clarity, so every page, class change, and emergency notification is heard and understood in every covered room. The same form of speaker serves school campuses, plants, offices, theme parks, and recreational areas, anywhere many people need to hear one message.

How are facility PA speakers different from band or DJ PA speakers?

A band’s powered speaker is portable equipment for live sound at one event, musicians feed it live music and backing tracks through a mixer with microphones and stage monitors, on speaker stands, tuned by an audio engineer at front of house for the audience in bars and small venues. Facility public address speakers are installed infrastructure: they mount permanently, receive audio from a transmitter or network rather than a mixing console on a stage, and are tuned for announcement and speech-range clarity across many rooms at once. If you searched for portable PA systems for performances, you want the music retailers; if you need a building to hear announcements, you’re in the right place.

What are the best PA speakers for a school or plant?

The best PA speakers for a building are the ones sized to its rooms and connected the way its infrastructure allows: standard 30 watt units in classrooms and offices, high-power 50 watt units in gyms and production areas, wireless UHF where there’s no cabling, and PoE where the network already reaches every room. A system specialist maps that out for your building at no charge.

Do I need a standard or high-power model?

The standard 30 watt model (90 dB at 1 meter) covers a classroom, conference room, or office area. The high-power 50 watt model (95 dB at 1 meter) covers gymnasiums, cafeterias, and noisy production areas. Most buildings mix both standard units in normal rooms, high-power where announcements must cut through noise with enough volume

Do these speakers need an amplifier, mixer, or 70V speaker wiring?

No. Each unit is self-contained and runs on standard 110 volt wall current. The audio arrives wirelessly from the transmitter, there is no power amplifier rack, no mixer, no 70V transformer line, and no speaker cable to pull through walls.

How do the wireless speakers receive announcements?

From the Public Address Transmitter, over an FCC-approved UHF wireless radio signal. The transmitter sends live pages, tones, or pre-recorded messages to any unit for announcement coverage, one room, a zone, or the whole system with no Bluetooth enabled device pairing and no microphones console to manage: staff page from the software on a desktop or smartphone.

Can I page just one room or one zone?

Yes. Units are addressed individually or in groups. Create zones for grade levels, wings, or departments, and each announcement speaker sounds only what its zone should hear, class-change tones to the upper grades, break tones to one wing of the plant, with software control over every zone’s volume and the ability to change zones as the building changes.

What about IP paging speakers, PoE speakers, and VoIP?

We build those too. Our SMART PoE models are networked speakers that take audio and power from one Ethernet cable, and an ip paging speaker integrates announcement audio with network and voip speaker platforms, a paging system speaker for the IP era. See the PoE Speaker System page for the full networking speakers lineup.

Do you offer horn speakers or outdoor speakers?

Yes, an outdoor horn speaker covers loading docks, yards, and open outdoor applications where a horn loudspeaker’s projection is needed, complementing the indoor units. The Outdoor Horn Speaker spec sheet is in the Resources list on this page.

What are the speaker dimensions and weight?

Standard: 9.7″ H x 7.3″ W x 6.5″ D, 6.14 lbs, 5″ woofer. High-power: 11.2″ H x 8.5″ W x 7.5″ D, 7.7 lbs, 6″ woofer. Both mount on a 180º swivel wall bracket, in white, with an ABS and powder-coated iron mesh frame, one-way units, so there are no microphone feedback loops to chase.

Can the speakers play bell tones, music, and scheduled announcements?

Yes. The software schedules tones, pre-recorded messages, and background music, with multiple weekly schedules, one for Monday-Wednesday-Friday, another for Tuesday-Thursday and units can sound class changes alongside a bell system on the same time base, with no need to stream music from a phone.

Can these speakers handle emergency announcements?

Yes. Live voice and pre-recorded emergency notifications broadcast instantly to any zone or the whole system, the same units that page daily operations carry emergency communications when seconds matter, with the sound sources stored locally so alerts play even when other systems are down.
