Q: Can your system be installed easily with low maintenance?

Yes. The system was designed to be self installed by owner. There is no complicated wiring or hardware needed. Just plug in power supply to outlet and transmitter, mount the GPS receiver on roof or side wall, and connect end of GPS cable to the back of transmitter. That’s it. A truly “Plug and Play” system.

Q: Will the wireless frequency interfere with others equipment within my facility?

No. The system operates on a protected licensed frequency, therefore it will not cause interference or disruption to your equipment or other equipment operating on different frequencies.

Q: Will your system interfere with my existing hard wired clock system?

No. All new clocks must be provided by Innovation Wireless and each will receive a wirelessly transmitted signal obtained from the transmitter with both operating on the same wireless frequency.

Q: What happens if my facility loses power? Will the clocks keep running and stay synchronized?

During a power outage, battery clocks will continue to maintain accurate time, synchronized with other wireless clocks due to the systems non-volatile memory which stores transmitter data as soon as power has been lost. Electric clocks will not function temporarily. However, when power is restored, the transmitter’s internal data updates the exact time, which is then wirelessly transmitted to all clocks, resuming normal synchronized operation.

Q: Do the clocks have to be re-set for daylight savings? If not, how does the system automatically re-set for Spring ahead and Fall back DST/ST?

The transmitter’s internal memory is pre-programmed with the Daylight Savings Time (DST) feature enabled. During the time change, each clock receives a transmitted signal, adjusting the time for DST, ensuring correct synchronization without any maintenance.

Q: How many clocks can the system support?

An unlimited number of clocks, providing they are located within proper receiving distance of the transmitter.

Q: How long will the batteries last in the clocks?

We recommend a maintenance schedule for changing batteries approximately every 5 years.

Q: What are unique advantages and qualities of your system?

The KRONOsync® system was designed specifically for providing wireless synchronized timing. A great deal of technology and engineering went into development of the transmitter, which is small, light, and utilizes simplistic operational features. Just one 7″ antenna, attached to back of transmitter is all that is needed for optimal signal transmission as compared to other systems that require complicated installation of external antenna’s. The system is FCC approved and field tested to the highest quality industry standards.

Q: Is GPS time synchronization and WWVB Atomic time the same?

No. There are several differences between the two. Primarily the frequency and duration of the transmitted signal, and its reliability. Atomic clocks utilize a 60 kHz AM signal, which is more susceptible to various sources of interference such as weather, electrical noise and building materials, along with the actual physical location of the clock. As a result, the synchronization can be limited, inconsistent and therefore not recommended for commercial facility applications. GPS time is not sensitive to weather or other adverse conditions. The receiver just needs to be located within a clear view of the sky. The KRONOsync® system signal is rebroadcast in UHF FM 467MHz, making it less prone to interference and much more reliable for building penetration, resulting in accurate, reliable synchronized time.

Q: Where can I purchase the KRONOsync® Wireless Time System?
